FAQ

What about children with special dietary or medical needs?
Our staff is knowledgeable about food allergies and sensitive to picky eaters; and because both campers and counselors are assigned to tables, camper diets can be monitored easily. Our regularly scheduled meals vary daily and weekly. A full salad bar, sandwich bar, soup bar and fruit bar supplement our meals.

What if my child doesn’t know anyone at camp?
Camp Stanley is a supportive and wonderful environment in which to meet new friends and create strong and lasting friendships. The Camp Stanley staff provides campers with planned activities and games where campers start to feel comfortable and connect with their peers.

Does the camp communicate well with parents?
Yes! JZ and Jen Z., our directors, believe the more communication the better the camp experience! Through daily emails, posted pictures on Bunk1, and invitations to our final show, you will feel a part of your child’s Camp Stanley experience!

What about safety and security issues?
Your child’s safety is Camp Stanley’s number one priority. Camp Stanley conducts background checks on every staff member, hires CPR-certified lifeguards, and has a nurse on duty 24 hours/day at our health center.

Does my child have to have acting experience to be a Camp Stanley camper?
NO! Camp is NOT a training facility. Camp Stanley IS a place where your child’s gifts and talents will be noticed and utilized. Camp Stanley’s total theatre program provides campers to maximize personal gifts and recognize new strengths. Our job is to support every camper in order to have an incredible creative journey.
